On Saturday the 26th of September 2015 the surgery will be holding an open day for patients to walk in and be given their influenza vaccination between 9.30am and 12pm. No appointment is necessary.
The following people qualify for the influenza vaccine:
- Adults over 65.
- Those aged 6 months – 65 years in clinical risk groups – e.g. patients with long term (chronic) or underlying conditions.
- Pregnant women.
- All 2, 3 and 4 year olds (at these ages on 31/08/2015).
- Those in long-stay residential care homes.
- Carers.
Some children of primary school age, will also be offered a flu vaccination at school.
